Why does business need ethics?

Abstract
Does business need ethics? If a human is a moral being and business is his creation, it unquestionably needs ethics. Even if these two realities oppose each other, business cannot escape the moral responsibility of its actions. The social teaching of the Church is clear: the dignity of the human person and the common good should shape the entire economic policy (see Evangelii Gaudium 203).
